Bach Khoa – Publishing house is a publishing unit directly under Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST). It has functions and missions:
1. Function:
· Organize the publication concerning almost the science and technology.
· Assist the Board of management in managing and improving the quality of publications in order to diffuse information and conduct the policies of Party and State for the development of the education and the science study and for the advance of the cadres’ professional ability.
2. Mission:
a) Organize the exploitation, compilation, publishing, printing and distribution the editions in accordance with the publishing law:
+ Documents for propagation and popularization the points of view and policies of Communist party and Vietnamese state
+ Textbooks forming a course for colleges, vocational schools and universities with training types: full-time, on-job training, intensive and 2nd degree training
+ Fundamental science documents and science-technology documents for the study of lecturers, masters, post-graduate and scientists
+ Reference books for students and the other objects
+ Cooperative books and translation books used as materials for studying, teaching, research and reference
b) Take the initiative in forming and actualizing publishing plans; take part in elaborating strategy, long-term and annual plans and five-year plans regarding publishing books, documents, textbooks for Hanoi University of science and technology (HUST):
- Have the main responsibility for elaborating the projects. Draft the documents referring to the structure and the activities of Bachkhoa Publishing house.Take part in considering and deciding, remarking on the projects, the manuscripts of other documents that President confides
- Propagate and popularize the policies of Party, the laws of State by the activities of publishing
